After finished my HTML & CSS course by Shay Howe, I felt I had the foundations to start building my first web project.
When tackling a project like this, it’s not strange that new questions come up, and I needed to start somewhere. I realized that I needed to find free, inspirational resources for my project needs, but that’s not so easy as you can imagine.
I’d been looking through so many websites, but with so much content available on the Internet these days, I decided to gather and share some of the websites that offer the most beautiful free content.

ICONS & VECTORS
Icons DB. Choose your favorite color and pick your icons for free. You can select from a variety of formats: .ico, .png, .gif, .jpg or .icns.
The Noun Project. A collection of icons licensed as Creative Commons, so you need to give credit to the creator in exchange for using the icons.
Ion Icons. You can download icon fonts 100% free and open source.
Freebie: Social Media Icons by Rogie King. Find a set of social media icons in five different shapes for free.
Freepick. A huge graphic collection, you’ll need to provide attribution by copying a Freepick link in your website.

Unsplash. Awesome high resolution photos totally free for commercial purposes to copy, modify, distribute and use.
Picjumbo. A collection of totally free photos for your commercial and personal works. You can do your research by category or tags.
Skitter Photo. Wonderful high quality photos for free, even commercially use.
Jéshoots. Free and cool photos for free to create a personal or commercial project.
Gratisography. High-resolution pictures by Ryan MCGuire, freely usable even for commercial purposes.
Travel Coffee Book. Free beautiful travel photos from all over the world. You can subscribe and receive by e-mail 10 new photos every 10 days.
Startup Stock Photos Library of inspirational photos for free, perfect for writers, developers and entrepreneurs.
Good Stock Photos. Free daily photos to use for anything you want.
New Old Stock. Fantastic vintage photos free of copyright restrictions.
